Ordering & Shipping Policies
By
submitting your order via US Postal, Phone, or Internet you are stating
that you have read
all our policies, you understand and accept them fully.
Shipping:
We offer Free UPS ground delivery within the Contiguous United
States for all orders over $40. Expect packages to take between 7 - 14
normal business days minimum for delivery. Please keep in mind that the
delivery time is an estimate and not guaranteed to arrive in the allotted
time. In the case of a possible back orders or lengthy delays we will
try our best to notify you via e-mail. Absolutely NO SHIPPING TO INDONESIA!
Please note:
for FREE GROUND UPS SHIPPING is for all orders
over $40, and your shipping address must
be correct.
We ship most items via UPS ground
so the delivery address cannot be
a PO Box, APO, or FPO address.
Also if the package comes back to us due to incorrect address, refusal,
or not able to deliver we will bill you an additional $8.00 service
fee for processing Plus the 20% restocking fee. If we simple reship
the package out you will be billed for the first delivery attempt but
no the second. So to help us avoid problems or delays double check all
delivery addresses and ordering information.
For smaller items we typically ship US Postal but again addresses should
NOT military addresses (APO, or FPO) as these require additional paperwork,
time, and offer poor package tracking. But if you do have a normal delivery
address or P.O. Box absolutely prefer US Postal please e-mail us after
placing the order, or post it in the "notes" section of your
order. We can give an estimate onany possible additional shipping fees
for this service.
* Due to cost, shipping delays, issues with tracking and a concern to
get our customers their products properly. We do not
offer any shipping outside the Contiguous
United States. Unfortunately this includes Canada and Hawaii,
and Alaska. For special delivery such as Next day, 2nd day, or other special
delivery services there will be an up-charge on shipping, so please e-mail
us with these request and we'll get an estimated cost for you ASAP.
NOTE: The only item we will ship to Canada at this time are our Moose
Mitts which run $15 extra for shipping (charged at time of processing).
We also offer these to Alaska customer with no additional shipping fee.
Ordering:
Our goal is to provide you with an easy and secure method of ordering.
For this reason you may place orders several different ways. Via our Secure
shopping cart, phone, or by US Postal.
By clicking the submit button on the shopping
cart page you are stating that you have read all our policies, you understand
and accept them fully.
Cancellations:
We try to ship all goods within 48 hours of you ordering. For this reason
if you wish to cancel the order, you must do so within 48 hours of placing
your order. If you cancel after the product has shipped, there will be
a restocking fee for returned goods (see returns below). Also note that
once the order has been shipped, it is considered filled. We will do everything
we can to get your products to you as fast as possible, but Trail's Edge
Outdoors has little control of the packages once shipped. If you have
questions regarding a package or order please feel free to call 1-734-420-1200,
please allow 24 hours for a response.
Returns:
Trail's Edge Outdoors sells many products from many different manufactures;
We follow the individual manufactures return policies and warranties.
Due to the nature of these products the following return policies are
effective:
- Warranties and exchange
claims should go directly through the manufacturers of the item.
- All return claims will
be dealt with on an individual basis.
- Any damaged or defective
equipment must be reported to us within 48 hours of receiving
the items.
- All exchange and return
claims must me made within 1 week (5 working days)
after receiving the items.
- Do not send
any items with out calling first! (Trail's Edge is not responsible
for items returned without authorization)
- Defective or damaged merchandise
will be replaced or repaired at manufacturers discretion according to
their individual policies.
- Absolutely NO
returns or exchanges on any climbing equipment or gear.
- Absolutely NO
returns or exchanges on any food or nutrition products.
- All Returns are good towards
store credit, and all can only be returned if it is unused only.
- Refunds and exchanges will
not be processed until Trail's Edge Outdoors has received and inspected
all returned products.
- Since we offer free shipping,
all return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.
- All returns
are subject to a
restocking fee of 20%.
Payment:
At this time we are accept payment by PayPal, Credti Card, Personal
Check, and Money Order.
- Check and Money order payments
can be mailed via U.S. Postal along with a printed copy of the shopping
cart order form.
- MasterCard,
Visa, and Discover credit cards can be made over the phone, or by using
our secure shopping cart.
- All payments are in US
Funds.
Sales Tax:
Sales tax will be charged for Michigan residents only (6%).
NSF (bounced checks):
Checks returned for non-sufficient funds will incur a $30 processing fee.
Since this fee is charged by the bank when the check bounces the first
time, the customer is still responsible for this charge even if the check
clears the second time.
Damage claims:
Please inspect all packages at time of delivery. All damaged or missing
item claims must be reported within 48 hours of receiving the items. Call

Out of stock items
& Back Orders:
Occasionally we do run out of the standard items. If we are out of stock
of a particular item we will contact you and offer to back order
the items. Your name and order will be placed at the top of the list when
the items do become available again. For back orders we will ship out
what we can, and fill the remainder of the order ASAP. Full payment will
be charged when we send the initial portion of the shipment.
