AMF Threadworks Moose Mitts - A.K.A Pogies
If you ride in the winter & colder months but bulky gloves don't seem to keep your hands warm, or make shifting/braking nearly impossible. Moose Mitts are the answer! The Moose Mitts allow you to use regular riding gloves, and still keep your hands warm.

FYI we also just learned that our Standard Version also work great on XC Ski Poles...

Standard Version Mitts: These are essentially a large mitten that covers the handlebars and bar ends of any flat bar bike (riser bars too). These stay attached to the handlebar, you simply slip your hands inside and keep them warm. Shift and brake with ease while using your normal biking gloves. These type of bike mitts have been a used by iditasport and winter riding enthusiast for years.

Road Version Mitts: Yes we finally have the road bike version finished. After lots of testing and several incarnations we finally have a design we feel good about. These mitts will provide relief from the cold wind during the fall, winter and spring. Made from the same great 1000D courdura and fleece as our popular Mountain version, the Road Mitts allow you to ride in the drops, Hoods, and Flats of the drop bars. The road mitts do not have the inside pocket however.

Ordering Note 3/31/09: We'd like to thank everyone for ordering this past season (Winter 08/09). We had a record year, our production was faster and better than ever. Now the bad news...We've switched gears to the bike shop for the season as of 3/31/09. While we are taking order for Moose Mitts, we will not be filling any orders again until winter 2009/2010. We'll begin sewing again around October to fill any pre-order first.

provides a strong, abrasion resistant material, which is also coated with wind/water proof membrane. Sorry Black only
Fleece Lining
Provides a warm environment for those digits. Once the internal area gets warm from your hands they stay that way.
3M Reflective Stripe
500 candle power reflective material sewn across the top provides a little added safety for riding at night

Standard Internal Pocket: (Standard Version Only)
Standard in all MTB Moose Mitts, this pocket is a good place to keep your energy bars warm enough to eat. It can also be used to store chemical hand warmers for added warmth.
 Closure Velcro (Standard Version Only)
Two small Velcro pieces added to the bottom and inside top allow you to close your MTB Moose Mitts when not being used. This is especially useful when the bike is sitting outside in the rain or snow...It is a good way to help keep heat in to avoid re-heating the internal chamber.
