AMF Threadworks Moose Mitts - A.K.A Pogies
If you ride in the winter & colder months but bulky gloves don't seem to keep your hands warm, or make shifting/braking nearly impossible. Moose Mitts are the answer! The Moose Mitts allow you to use regular riding gloves, and still keep your hands warm.

Standard Version Mitts: These are essentially a large mitten that covers the handlebars and bar ends of any flat bars, riser bars, and yes even XC Ski Poles.. These stay attached to the handlebar, you simply slip your hands inside and keep them warm. Shift and brake with ease while using your normal biking gloves. These type of bike mitts have been a used by iditasport and winter riding enthusiast for years.

Road Version Mitts: Yes we finally have the road bike version finished. After lots of testing and several incarnations we finally have a design we feel good about. These mitts will provide relief from the cold wind during the fall, winter and spring. Made from the same great 1000D courdura and fleece as our popular Mountain version, the Road Mitts allow you to ride in the drops, Hoods, and Flats of the drop bars. The road mitts do not have the inside pocket however

Well Winter is getting here fast...So were sewing as fast as we can. Right now it is estimated 2-3 weeks before any new orders will ship. All pending orders should start going out next week. We will fill orders at the time in the order we recieved them....and never charge you until we can physically ship them out.

Please note that these are made in our Plymouth location in the back of the bike shop. There are 3 of us in the store so we make them as fast as we can and the store is open all winter as well. We work in batches to keep the orders flowing and the popularity of these are growing every year. We appreciate the orders and everyone's patience with us as we create some of the most durable and unique cycling apparel you'll ever find.

Wide Rims
Winter wheels use a far wider rim than typical mountain bike rims. We are now stocking Kris Holm Trials rims for this purpose. While these rims were originally designed for the abuses of trials iunicycle riding we have found that the also work great as snow/sand wheels. The wide rim allows riders to run far lower air pressure and larger volume whcih creates more float when riding deep snow or sand.
