Unique 64 hole dual spoke hole pattern; allows for offset or non-offset wheelbuilding
For offset wheel building: choose one row of spoke holes and stick to it
For centered wheel building: alternate between rows of spoke holes, keeping the spokes from one side of the flange going to the row of spoke holes on the same side of the rim

The Surly Rolling Darryl rim. It's your platform for a big(ger) footprint.

Single wall construction, 82mm wide
Rim has a unique 64 hole dual spoke hole pattern; allows for offset or non-offset wheelbuilding
Cutout versions save weight and show off your rimstrips
82mm rims on a Pugsley may require drivetrain modification to avoid chain rub on the tire in the lowest gears; Surly MWOD crankset recommended in this instance

Wide Rims - BACK IN STOCK.
Winter wheels use a far wider rim than typical mountain bike rims. We are now stocking Kris Holm Trials rims for this purpose. While these rims were originally designed for the abuses of trials iunicycle riding we have found that the also work great as snow/sand wheels. The wide rim allows riders to run far lower air pressure and larger volume whcih creates more float when riding deep snow or sand.

47mm wide double wall construction rim (black only)
Carefully sized drillouts reduce weight and maximize strength around the spoke eyelets
36 spoke, 10 mm offset pattern with eyelets (not yet shown in photo)
