Chris King Hand Built Mtb Wheelset
King is known for their hubs, but we acknowledge that you can’t just pick up a set and start riding along. It takes a complete wheelset to make our favorite machines roll. While individual hubs for custom building, King is now offering complete wheelsets. We believe in the reasonable balance of strength and durability measured against lightweight high-performance. King's emphasis is on uniform, balanced spoke tension, with reasonable care these wheels will provide years of dependable service. Each wheelset models is available as configured with any of their 10 available color hubsets.

American Classic 26" Rim Brake Only Mtb Wheelset (black only)
The All Mountain Disc wheelset is a fusion of the concepts in our light MTB cross country and downhill wheelsets. This wheelset is a workhorse. They are durable for extremes such as drops, rough terrain and high speed, and light enough for accelerating, quick handling and firm control. Our stiff front axle system resists fork flex. The All Mountain rims are 28mm wide to stiffen the tire and wheel-ground response. Many choices of hubs and rim diameters to dial in your equipment needs. When you are pushing the limits, this wheelset can handle it.

Mavic recommends tire widths from 1.0” to 2.1”. The hubs can be specified to have either ISO 6 Bolt or CenterLock rotor mounting. The front wheel is available as a quick release (includes a QR15 conversion kit) or a 20mm thru-axle. Oversized aluminum hubs are anodized a beautiful red. The rims and spokes are Black. This wheelset is part of Mavic's MP3 program. which provides you with two years of almost unlimited no-fault protection from Mavic. More details can be found on the MP3 website. Mavic Crossmax SLR
The Mavic Crossmax SLR wheelset comes with 24 spokes in both front and rear wheels. The spokes are straight pull Zicral, both profiled and double-butted, and are anodized black. The lacing is cross-two in front and Isopulse in rear (cross-two and radial). The axles are aluminum. The rims are shot-peened and black-anodized Maxtal aluminum. The joint is created with Mavic’s super smooth SUP process. Fore drilling means the inside wall of the rims is solid, with no need for spoke nipple cutouts, easy for running UST or tubes. The Mavic Crossmax SLR wheelset comes with BX601 titanium quick releases, UST valves and mounting accessories, wheel bags, bearing adjustment tool, spoke wrench, and a wheel magnet. They are packaged with a user's guide and warranty card.
The front wheel weighs 690g, the rear 830g, for a total wheel weight of 1520g.

The joint is created with Mavic’s super smooth SUP process. Fore drilling means the inside wall of the rims is solid, with no need for spoke nipple cutouts, easy for running UST or tubes. Extra aluminum has been shaven off between spoke nipples on the inside diameter of the rim. The rim is 559x17 diameter. Mavic recommends tire widths from 1.0” to 2.1”. The rear cassette body can accommodate 8 or 9 cogs. The Mavic CrossMax SL wheelset comes with BX601 quick releases. UST valves and mounting accessories are included -- a wheel magnet, bearing adjustment tool, spoke wrench, and user’s guide and warranty card. 1550g.

Mavic CrossTrail Disc

The Mavic Crosstrail Disc wheelset has Mavic’s Fore rim drilling, where the rim is only pierced on the outside wall. Rim strips are unnecessary and UST tubeless compatibility is easy. The rim has been shaved down between the spokes to reduce rotational inertia. The disc-compatible hubs are drilled for the six-bolt ISO standard or Shimano’s Centerlock. The rear hub is designed to work with eight- or nine-speed cassettes, has a 10mmx135mm axle, and sports Mavic’s new FTS pawl system. The wheels roll on sealed bearing cartridges. The rim diameter is 559x19. Mavic recommends using 1.5” to 2.3” width tires with these wheels.
