Product Details

2013 Surly Steamroller

Whether you're commuting to work, going fast and turning left on the track, or cruising the mean streets for excitement, Surly's Steamroller is your rig of choice! Its tough chromoly frame and fork ride smooth like butter and deftly maneuver over the pothole-strewn pavement of the urban jungle. And with Fatties Fit Fine tire clearance, you can run comfy wide tires or even knobby 'cross rubber. In addition to the fixed rear wheel, a grippy Tektro front brake is included to check your speed from time to time. And, the Alex wheels, wrapped by Continental tires, are durable, quick, and deliver a connected, zippy feeling that you'll love! What's more, the Steamroller boasts a flip-flop rear hub so you can run it as a singlespeed (freewheel sold separately) if you feel like coasting.

    Comments:

I changed the 700 x 28 tires that came with the bike to 700 x 32C Panaracer Messengers. The fixie allows the rider to maintain a consistent pedal stroke. Good for the exercise.
