Very satisfied with this monitor. The watch is comfortable to wear. If I have a complaint and it is a minor one is that I sometimes hit the lap button when I want to resume the session after I have paused it.

I've had 2 other Polar's including one of the first ones offered and an RS200 I still own. After 8 months of using my RC3GPS all the time here's my assessment: Good: features, accuracy, size, battery life (contradicts other accounts but mine has been going strong); gray face easy to read Not as Good: GPS lock takes about 2 minutes where I live on a tree lined driveway at 8,300 ft about sea level; can't customize the screens (minor as there are enough screens/info. to satisfy my needs; light not so bright as my aging eyes that need help ;)

Sent it back within 6 months due to not syncing with GPS and chewing through battery life. They found it defective. Within 9 months of the new set, the same EXACT thing is happening. When you send it in for warranty work--it takes 6 weeks or more, which is a long time to go without your gadgets. I'm going to look at another model or brand even though I have been a Polar loyalist for over a decade.

This is the fourth Polar watch I've owned, and the fourth to break. I had high hopes after two broken M91ti's and one faulty FT80, but after 6 months my RC3 died too. A friend of mine also purchased RC3 after my recommendation and his died shortly after mine. My guess is the charging connector on the watch. Overall I am very dissatisfied with Polar Hear Rate Monitors.

I have "upped" my game with the RC3 GPS. I use it with the polarpersonaltrainer.com website to track all my workouts. the website allows me to visually see when I have over-trained and need a day off. I use the RC3 GPS for cycling, running, walking and weight lifting. It sync's immediately with the H3 HMS but is a little slow sync'ing with the GPS. The only drawback is the 5 predefined workout zones that cannot be changed or edited. I work out religiously and have a very low resting heartbeat and a high max heartbeat. When I wear the watch and HMS for a 3 mile walk, I have a hard time getting my heart rate up to the minimum rate for zone 1. As a consequence I can do a recover walk 3 or 4 miles and when I download the data the software gives me some bogus training load of 6 or some other single digit when I know I walked as hard as I could and the value should at least be in the 40's or 50's. And you cannot edit the workout types. your stuck with (1) running, (2) two cycling profiles, and (3) two "other sport" profiles. Iw would be nice to be able to edit the profiles as long as the workout zone min/max heartbeats. If this is critical to you I would recommend the RCX5 GPS, but it is way more expensive. Despite this I have learned "workarounds" to the above and really love the RC3 GPS.

Been using the RC3 for about 6 months, the watch is slow in detecting GPS signals, which at times take more than 10 mins. And recently, the watch started to drain battery, at fully charged, the battery lasted 2 days on the 'watch mode'.

I have been running with the unit since it came out. It has the quickest satellite capture rate and even when I am indoors, which allows be less time in adverse weather conditions outside before starting my run. With the fitness testing it gives me the most accurate calorie burn. In addition, my using polarpersonaltrainer.com I can set up my training runs based on distance/pace/heart rate or time. I have found this indispensable while training for half marathons and marathons. Thanks to Polar I have a reliable unit to train with.

I've used the RC3 GPS for one year. During that time I have used it while running, hiking, and cycling in cities on roads and trails while climbing mountains. Yes, its broad range of features makes it a very useful tool. I love that it picks up satellites within seconds after first using it in a location. And the battery life (12-13 hrs) allows me to play or race all day and still have a complete map when I download the data to polarpersonaltrainer.com. I especially appreciate what I deem the most important feature of the RC3 - that I can completely and accurately analyze the heart rate data using the polarpersonaltrainer.com. software.
