Planet Bike's Blaze is a commuter's dream that cuts a swath of visibility through dark, moonless nights. The Blaze boasts a Nichia half-watt white LED with a brilliant beam specifically designed not only to be seen, but also to let you see where you're going. This great light features flashing and steady modes, and a tool-free quick-release handlebar mount so you can install and remove the light in seconds. Plus, the included 2 AA batteries offer run times of up to 100 hours.
This is a fantastic light and well worth the price. It has a very bright beam with both flash and solid beam-- I typically use flash while riding, but the solid beam works GREAT as a flashlight/"lantern" at night either while riding or when you're trying to dig for keys. It illuminates a nice area, not just a point straight ahead.
Another point that I consider both a pro and a con is that both the light and its mount are very easy to remove from the bike. I just had the whole unit stolen off of my bike today (my own fault, since the quick clip-in design makes it so easy to take the light with you) but I love this light so much I am going to go buy another one right away.
In short: I definitely recommend this light, just remember to take it with you!!
Bottom LineYes, I would recommend this to a friend
