CycleOps JetFluid Pro

CycleOps’ JetFluid Pro Trainer is your secret weapon. Use it whenever time or weather constraints arise so you can stamp your authority on the hills, races or group rides next time the sun shines. The Pro features progressive resistance, where just like the real world, resistance builds the faster the wheel spins. Charging through 600-watt intervals or spinning easily in the little ring requires no adjustment; the power curve automatically changes to give you a silky-smooth workout. Plus, the Fluid is whisper quiet and the frame is tough, sturdy and stable so you can ride as hard as you want.

    Solid, quiet and predictable

          Comments:

This is the second trainer I've purchased... and by far the best. Set up and riding in under 5 minutes. The resistance is predictable EVERY time and is very smooth. I couldn't believe that a trainer could feel like the road, but it's true... the faster you go, the harder it gets, just like on the road. The transition from slow to fast is just as tough as it's on the road. I know I will be able to better gauge my training over the desolate winter months using this trainer. Combined with the rollers I purchased a few years ago, I am extremely happy with Cycle-Ops products. You know what you're buying with them, solid, safe and consistent products that perform exactly as they state.

Great trainer, but a bit loud

I bought the trainer a while back, and it's been great for when it's wet or dark out. The main downside is that it's a bit on the loud side (I need noise isolating headphones to watch TV), and that the knob for ratcheting down the tire has a small metal component that will break if you turn the knob too far (I was storing it, and it broke while I was trying to get the knob screwed in as far as possible).

                  Comments:

I replaced my 5-year-old CycleOps Fluid II with the JetFluid Pro. The Fluid II was working fine and never gave me any problems. However, I liked what I saw in the JetFluid Pro. The legs extend and retract much easier and the JetFluid Pro has a leveling adjustment on one of the legs. CycleOps has also improved the clamping action that attaches the rear wheel to the trainer - again the Fluid II worked but the JetFluid Pro is much better design that works easier. But the big attraction for me was the clutch system for mating the rear tire to the roller on the resistance unit. Instead of wondering if you've set the appropriate tension, with the JetFluid Pro, you turn the yellow knob until you hear two clicks. That's it, you're done and with consistent tension from session to session as long as you use a consistent tire pressure. One other nice touch is that CycleOps supplies a graph in the owner's manual that correlates wheel speed to power output with the JetFluid Pro. As I don't have a power meter, it's nice to have a reasonable estimation of my power output while using this trainer.

I use this trainer on rainy days or at times when I can't hit the road (early morning/late night). You can really get in a good workout. Great for intervals.

I had a BB trainer before and I thought it was good, well one day it went down. I went in to see about getting it repaired. I did some research and walked away with a Cycle Ops trainer. At first I was a bit concerned cause of the price but its well worth it. This thing rocks and gives the same feel of the road and is simple as installing ur front wheel. I recommend this to all. Just spend the few extra bucks. It pays off in the long run,
