        Comments:

As other reviewers have mentioned, set-up was a bit confusing. I've had this computer for about three months, and I haven't experienced any problems with it. I ride 3-4 times a week for fun and fitness, and this computer is great for my needs. Serious bikers may want more features. All I need to know is my current speed, average speed, distance, and the time. I've gone over several large bumps in the road, and the computer hasn't stopped or reset like others have. It is kind of an unattractive design (I would have preferred plain black) but the price was right and it gets the job done.

Got one for my trail bike and one for my hardtail mtn bike forced into road duty. Both are working as expected. No problems on the street or on the trails with drops, mud, and river crossings. So far so good at a month in.

          Comments:

I have this Cateye on my mountain bike and my two road bikes. Like the other reviewers, I know there are more sophisticated computers available, but this simple lightweight device is all I need. Not only is it a snap to install, it mounts nicely on the stem, leaving my bars free for what they are meant for...my hands! Its clip arrangement makes it easy to remove. It's simple to read, reset and provides all functions including avg speed and a two-trip memory. initial setup is a little confusing, just go slow and follow each step in sequence in the instructions...they can be a bit confusing, but nothing overwhelming. Battery life is good. I ride 3x week and batteries last at least a year, and are available everywhere, especially [...]. Best of all its super small and weighs NOTHING. I'll admit the display isn't the largest, but its adequate. After all, keep your eyes on the road, and your hands upon the bars! (most of the time) Spend your money on more important things...this gives you everything you need in a computer.

            Comments:

I have CatEye Wireless on both my mountain bike and road bike and would not go anywhere without it. It has been VERY dependable. If you ride at least once per week you will need to replace the battery once a year. I did not find this hard to install or use. Just bought my wife a new bike last week and will purchase another to put on her bike. I'm sure that are other more expensive computers out there with more bells and whistles(that's why I only gave it 4 stars), but the CatEye Wireless is perfect for anyone that just needs to know how far and how fast.

As someone said earlier post, I have hard time mounting it on my oval carbon fiber fork road bike. Once I manage to mounted with zip ties it works fine. I like the option of mounting the computer on the stem or handle bar.

                Comments:

On a road bike, the wireless sensor is mounted on the higher (fatter ) part of the fork with zip ties only. If your fork is not round (as with most carbon road forks), the zip ties will not have enough grip (esp with clear coat). The sensors can slip easily. Recommend Quake Hold putty. Also should apply same to the head unit to reduce buzzing sound.
