    It seems like yesterday that trails-edge.com was born from the simple idea of a "information resource" for rock climbing and mountain biking. The site was established in 1998, the first store front (Plymouth,MI) opened in 2003. Septemeber 2010 We expanded with a second store front (Milford, MI), which has been very well recieved. Our Plymouth store has been voted one of Detroit's top 5 bike shops for over 4 years in a row. We've gained the reputation as the "Bike Geeks" becuase of our bike knowledge, customer service, and dedication to the local cycling community.

    We pride ourselves in being different from other stores, All of our employees are cyclist! We don't have a bunch of high school kids working on your bike or telling you how "cool" this or that thingy is. We're cyclist, so we sell items we would use ourselves. We don't jump on the fad band wagon. Lets be honest, do you really want to buy a bike or part because some goof ball tells you it's "Sweet" or "Awesome" ?! Our staff can help when it comes to picking parts for the upgrade, or if you're looking for the perfect bike for "your" needs.

    The information portion of the website is designed with experts, beginners, and the curious in mind.Hopefully our info and guidelines will give newer enthusiasts some general rules for conduct and create a better outdoor experience for everyone. Below are just a few of our unique services that make us one of the best bike shops in Southeast Michigan.
* Rental/Demo Bikes: Want to try a Salsa MukLuk FATBIKE. We have a stable of them at Milford to rent for the day...call ahead to schedule. During the winter we only have the fat bikes for rent. Spring/Summer/Fall come out and rent a 29er, comfort bike, or even full suspension...Maybe you just want to get your friends out with you for a ride. We have reasonable rental rates for hourly, daily or multi-day rates. Rentals are all run through our Milford location. If you need one for the Plymouth store please let us know with some advance notice and we'll try to accomodate.

* Repair Instruction: Are you a do it yourself kind of person...but don't know how? We can help with some simple One on One repair instruction. Classes must be scheduled in advance Please e-mail us with a list of items you'd like to learn and we'll plan accordingly. trails-edge@trails-edge.com

* Boxxing/Shipping: Everyone is familiar with Ebay, and selling personal items online...Now you can leave the messy packing and shipping details to us. Simply bring in any item you have sold and we'll package, and ship the items for $40 plus shipping fees.

* Receiving: Planning on being in Michigan for a short while? Why not ship your bike to us? We'll reassemble it to proper working condition. You simply stop by pick it up and enjoy your visit . Please call or e-mail us prior to shipping. We can also re-pack it for tghe return trip home.

 Plymouth Location - Big Move has been delayed...
UPDATE 1/10/12: The move is being delayed due to DTE delay in getting power set up at the new space. We are now anticipating Plymouth to be close until Februrary 1st. If we can get everyone together and get power and all of our inspections sooner...We will post up.

Rides, Races, and Events:
Tuesday TTF group ride at the farm (10 years running)
Just a reminder about that one of the longest running group ride continues into it’s 10th season. The ride happens all year long (weather permitting), 6:30pm (w/15 min. late rule) at the Lakeshore Park in Novi. Many of the regulars head to the local pub for some food and post ride drinks too.

Seeking new "Bike Geeks" Help wanted @ Trail’s Edge. We are looking to increase their staff for the 2012 season. Applicants should...
* Be able to perform basic bicycle repair of all models and types, and problem solve.
* Be available to work both Saturdays or Sundays May – September
* Must be available to work evenings until 8 p.m.
* All staff is required to repair bikes and work the sales floor when needed – strong people skills are a must
* Love Coffee, Bikes, or Beer - or all 3
