Introduction
Eden park is located in downtown Cincinatti, Ohio. Run by the city, Eden Park is a well maintained, large city park with many activities:
Jogging,Biking, Soccer, Walking, Inline Skaing...you name it!
Well we had found this place from Tim Toula's "Rock'N'Road". After a long winter at the gym we were headed to climb in Alabama, so we decided to find this place (which seemed to be on the way) and squeeze a quick few hours of bouldering in. Needless to say I was a bit disappointed that we had taken the time to find this place, and it turned out to be...well man made! My fault for expecting a natural bouldering area in downtown. Toula's book doesn't describe the wall as a man made structure, built with limestone blocks.
If you live nearby or are visiting I would definitely recommend checking it out for some quick fun or practice. The structure is 25-30 feet at the tallest, pockets and edges prevail on the limestone structure. The top affords anchor set-ups (bring some long webbing also), for Top Rope, Rappelling, and ascending. The length of this wall will definitely pump you out with hundreds of feet of traverse possibilities.
