Introduction
Bloomer park is located in downtown Rochester, Michigan. The city of Rochester owns and operates the park, holding many activities throughout the year. The park offers many miles of tight singletrack mountain biking, hiking, fishing, and picinic facilities. But as a climber the most notable feature of the park is its covered granite shelter. The park entrance fee is $5.00 or a you can yearly pass. as of yet we have never been asked to stop climbing the building, so please be safe and respect the park. Don't liter, blah, blah, blah...you all know how to behave, so I won't insult you by giving you a list of rules. Please bring a brush to clean off the chalk after your done.

The building offers fun, delicate traverse problems on small crimpers and edges. Since this is a shelter it is covered, and makes a great rainy day escape. The wall behind the mens room is fun and tall enough for a few hard vertical moves. The arete is one of the tallest points, but has a bad landing! The rocks are just facia stone, and could posslibly come loose. Beware of any stones that feel or look lose. The texture is slick and sharp, expect to walk away with pink finger tips.
