Tom came to us in need of a bike that better fit his riding needs. He was riding an NRS which was light and efficient, but wanted a better smoother progression on the rear suspension...with out sacrificing climbing prowess. He was also looking for some quicker race handling and climbing characteristics from a frame. We decided upon the Titus Ti Racer X to keep the 80mm travel fork, and fast racer design. The bike was built with mostly new parts except for the fork and pedals. Built with SRAM X.0 Shifters and rear Der. XT Cranks and Frt. Der. DT Swiss Competition Disc Wheels (with the 240 hubs), Hutchinson Python Air Lights. We also opted for a Thomson seatpost, Titus stem, Maxm Carbon riser bars. WTB Rocket V Stealth Saddle, Avid Mech. disc brakes, and Speed Dial SL Levers.

The frame geometry was decided on by using Tom's geometry, his other two bikes geometry (one was too big, one was too small), and talking to Chris at Titus about the performance features Tom was looking for. We ened up with a bike that had the stand over of a medium, but the size of a large...and that would work with an 80mm travel fork.
