Mr. Ouellette has been a friend and riding partner for years. He has always had pretty nice bikes including Santa Cruz SL's and a mix of several other bikes like a Cyclo Cross, Single Speed, and Road Bike. Rich wanted to condense his collection to one bike. He asked me "If you were to get one bike for over all use what would it be" The answer was simple...a Racer X EXO-GRID.

This purchase also happened just as his Yeti was stolen right out of his truck, while we were all at a trail maint. workday ?!?!?! So this allowed us a clean slate to start with, no old parts to transfer over (because they were stolen) and a great time to do a fully custom bike. We measured Rich, his past bikes, and determined a few things with Chris at Titus. As the bike was being fab'd at Titus we began picking out parts going with the SRAM X.0 drivetrain and making this bike a "Shimano Free Zone" We got some great parts from Titus like the MaxM carbon seatpots and Bars, and their machined stem. As you can see from the pics this was one sexy bike. It only took a few rides and Rich was all grins. He loved the Progressive shock and Fox 80X fork combinations. His opinion was that this bike set up allowed efficient riding in all situations, not fussing with lock outs or levers...Just Ride
