Steve came in the shop with his Litespeed already converted into a single speed...but wanted to make it disc brake friendly. We started by adding a disc brake adaptor to the frame which converts any old frame into a modern disc brake friendly bike. Second he needed wheels, and we had the bling bling gold Try All wheels already started. One of Steve's uses for this bike was winter riding so these XX-wide style rims (47mm wide) have been a favorite for local winter cyclist for years. The other idea was that the wider tire might help with the single speed on normal terrain by providing a wider contact patch too ??? Steve said the wheels worked great and we made the wheels using standard hubs so he has the option of converting them back to geard when he wants.

So we finished up the wheels and the gold added a nice accent, and picked up the yellow Litespeed sticker. Everyone who saw this bike in the shop had to touch it and drool a bit :-)
